Awaiting the opening of the Independence Museum in Bhola
The Independence Museum in Bhola is waiting for the opening.The museum is aimed at highlighting the true history of freedom fighters for the next generation. The correct history of the liberation war will be preserved in this museum.
The President Abdul Hamid is expected to inaugurate the museum officially on January 25.
The museum has been constructed by personal initiatives of the Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed at the Bangla Bazar of Bhola. The museum supervisor said that the museum will be opened to the public after the inauguration. Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed will visit the museum on Saturday.
In one hand there is a laboratory, and on the other hand, there is a digital display of the anti-British movement, the continuation of the language movement from freedom movement which can be seen and know by the new generation. Folk traditions and Bengali cultures have also be highlighted in this museum.
The museum has become one of the archives of the hard work of many researchers including renowned historian Dr. Muntasir Mamun. It is known that there will be a continuous preservation of 80 years of history behind our independence.
There is a 3D mini hall which is being kept for the main drawings and movie displays made by the history of Liberation War. The last moment of museum work is currently underway.
Fatema Khanam Complex, established in the name of the mother of the Bangladesh Commerce Minister which was started its construction three years ago. Its foundation stone was laid by Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith.
Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed is the Visionary of the Independence Museum in Bhola
The visionary of the museum, Commerce Minister Tofail, said that it is a long time dream of building a museum for the future generations in which they can learn the history of our liberation war. Because every speech of Bangabandhu has sparked the nation to achieve Bangladesh`s independence which has become a topic of research today.
District Awami League Organizing Secretary Moinul Hossain Biplob, who was responsible for managing the museum, said there are three galleries here. On one side of the first floor of the gallery, there is a rare history, heritage, archaeological site, Anti-British Movement, 47`s Partition and Language Movement.
On the other side, there are libraries and laboratories. Also on the same floor, there are multimedia display hall rooms.
On the second floor, there are imagery moments of the history of the Language Movement from the Liberation War.
On the third floor, there is a history of 58`s movement, the military rule of Pakistan, 66`s movement, 69`s mass movement, 70`s election, the Historical Speech of 7 March, the Liberation War of 1971, the rare photograph of Bangabandhu.
Apart from this, there are audio and video digital exhibition of all speech of Bangabandhu. Visitors can access any important moments and information using the digital touchscreen.
Bhola`s Bangla Bangar is the area that carries the history of the liberation war. On October 23, 1971, the Pakistani army launched an attack on three sides in Bangla Bazar. So the museum has been established in that area. Local Businessman Union Awami League general secretary Kamal Hossain said our beloved motherland Bangladesh has achieved independence in 9 months. The part of that history of the war will be presented to the new generation.
