Zayed, Nipun on BTV’s ‘Chayer Adda’

The Chamber Court today has stayed the High Court order passed in favor of filmstar Zayed Khan for the post of general secretary. The court also issued a stay on the post of general secretary of the Film Artistes’ Association. No one will sit in this post till February 13.

Nipun’s general secretary post scraped
Film actress Nipun Akter was sworn in as the general secretary of the Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association yesterday (Sunday). After the swearing-in ceremony, Misa Sawdagar welcomed Kanchan-Nipun with a garland at the office of the association. Later, they sit in the designated chair and were captured on camera with smiling faces.

Zayed Khan reinstated as per HC order
The High Court today has postponed the decision of the Appellate Board of Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association by rejecting the general secretary candidature of filmstar Zayed Khan. At the same time, Zayed Khan was instructed to perform the duties of the general secretary of the Film Artistes’ Association.

Newly elected general secretary of Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association Zayed Khan finally lost his position amid various allegations and was accused of “buying votes” on the day of the Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association polls. Besides, actress Nipun, another candidate for the general secretary post, demanded re-election by canceling his post by making several allegations.
