Bangladesh take 68-run lead
Bangladesh's first innings ended at 465 for nine after No. 10 batsman Shoriful Islam was forced to retire following an injury. That gave Bangladesh a lead of 68 runs in their first innings of the Chattogram Test in reply to Sri Lanka's first innings total of 397.

Sri Lankan team arrives in Dhaka to play two Tests
The Sri Lanka Cricket Team arrived in Bangladesh for a two-match Test series which is the part of ICC World Test Championship. The plane carrying the Sri Lankan team landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 12.15 pm, one hour late from the scheduled time today (Sunday).

Sri Lanka calls Oshada Fernando for Bangladesh Tests
Sri Lanka have named Oshada Fernando in their 18-man squad for the two-Test tour of Bangladesh, with Pathum Nissanka yet to recover from the back injury that kept him out of the second Test against India recently. Oshada, who was not named in the squad for the India series, returns after registering impressive scores in domestic cricket recently.

Shoriful expected to be available for Sri Lanka Tests
Bangladesh got some relief as pace bowler Shoriful Islam is expected to be available from the start of the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka. Shoriful was included in the Bangladesh squad for the opening Test subject to his fitness. The Bangladesh Cricket Board had recently sent Shoriful to Singapore to have an assessment for his abdominal issues which bothered him for a long time.

Mustafizur will have to play Test cricket if needed: Papon
Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan Papon said on Saturday (April 23) that Mustafizur Rahman will have to play Test cricket if he is required by the team. Mustafizur had recently insisted that he is not ready to return to Test cricket, and that picking and choosing formats was important for him in order to prolong his career.

Elgar falls for 70
South Africa's captain Dean Elgar led the domination of the Bangladesh attack for most of the session as the home side reached 107 for one at lunch. After the launch break, Elgar was dismissed by Taijul Islam scoring 70, his third straight fifty in this series.The host lost their second wickets on133/2 in 32.5 overs. Elgar made 67 and 64 in the two innings of the first Test in which South Africa won by 220 runs.

Donald is optimistic about Bangladesh pacers

England openers put on their first half-century stand in the series, but the rest of the line-up couldn't muster much as Australia sealed a 146-run win in Hobart in the fifth and final Test.
