This year, the Commonwealth Games is being held in Birmingham, England. Where Sri Lanka remain 161 players. Of these, # players are reported to have gone missing.

Among these 3 athletes from Sri Lanka, one is a wrestler, one is a judo player and another is a judo coach. They were missing since Monday. The two were later found. Their passports have been submitted. As a result, it is not possible for them to leave England and go elsewhere.

After those three disappeared, all the documents of the rest of the Sri Lankan team were taken away. A woman in her 30s and a man in his 40s had been missing since August 1, West Midlands Police said in a statement. They have been found.

It is also said that another person went missing on August 4. The man in his 20s is being sought. There are a total of 161 players in the Sri Lankan team. Along with that, their coaches have come to the Commonwealth. All have been given 180-day visas.

It is believed that they do not want to return because of the political situation in Sri Lanka. There is currently a state of emergency in Sri Lanka. There the market is sky high. No fuel available. The economic situation is at the bottom.

Sri Lanka has won three medals at the Commonwealth Games so far. Palitha Bandra won silver in discus throw. Isuru Kumara got bronze in weightlifting and Yupun Abekun got bronze in 100m.
