Shaheen Shah Afridi becomes ‘DSP’

Pakistan star left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi has been appointed as the Honorary and Unpaid Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.
Cricket and cricketers have popularity all over the subcontinent including in Pakistan. Cricketers are considered one of the biggest stars in almost all the cricket-playing countries in Asia. Now, the Pakistan Police used the stardom.
Shaheen Shah Afridi has also been selected as the goodwill ambassador of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Department. In this role, Shaheen will work to establish good relations with the people as well as build trust.
Meanwhile, Shaheen paid homage to the martyrs of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police. The Pakistani star pacer said, his father was a retired Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police officer and his brother is also currently working in this department.
Earlier, Pakistan's first pace bowling superstar Fazal Mahmood was a DSP of Pakistan Police professionally in his playing career. After retired from cricket, he joined as DIG.
