Coach Mikel Arteta, who worked as Pep Guardiola's assistant at Manchester City, knew what City's Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus could or could not do.

Arteta has been trying to bring this Jesus to Arsenal from the beginning. With Arling Harland and Julian Alvarez coming to the City, there were doubts about whether Jesus could get a chance at the City XI at all.

But Jesus can be found if you want it well, Arteta believed. That belief is becoming a reality. Arsenal authorities are finally meeting the coach's expectations.

Arsenal are signing this Brazilian striker from City for 4.5 crore pounds. The striker, who signed for City from Palmeiras five and a half years ago, is moving to London.

Jesus is signing a contract with Arsenal until 2027, according to Fabrizio Romano, a reliable journalist on the transfer.

The striker, who made his debut for Brazil in 2016, has scored 19 goals in 56 matches. The Brazilian has scored 95 goals in 236 appearances for City in all competitions over the past five and a half years.

The 25-year-old will be Arsenal’s fourth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Marquinhos, Matt Turner and Fábio Vieira.

He has won the league title four times, the League Cup four times and the FA Cup once for City. He deserves to play in any of the attacking positions, which is why Arteta likes him so much.
