Bangladesh lost in the first Test against West Indies by seven wickets. Left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam was included in the Bangladesh squad for the second Test. The 21-year-old pacer will leave for the West Indies this evening (Monday) to join the team.

The media department of the BCB said so on Monday afternoon.

Shoriful suffered a hand injury while batting in the first Test of the series against Sri Lanka at home. He missed the second match of the series due to an injury sustained by Asitha Fernando's short length delivery.

Shoriful was initially ruled out of the Test series against the West Indies due to the severity of the injury.

However, the left-arm pacer now recovered from the injury and was added to the squad for the second Test.

Bangladesh lost the first match of the series by 7 wickets in Antigua and trailed 0-1. Shakib Al Hasan's team has no other way but to win the second Test to level the series at St. Lucia starting next Friday (June 24).
