Malaysia beat Bangladesh 4-1

Bangladesh lost 4-1 to Malaysia in the last Group match of the Asian Cup Football. With this, the men in red-green lost all three matches in the Asian Cup qualifiers.

The match started at 7 pm Bangladesh time at Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. Malaysia got a goal in the first 17 minutes of the match. Defensive midfielder Atiqur Rahman Fahad clears the ball inside the box. The referee considered it a foul and ordered a penalty and Malaysia's Safai Rashid scored first goal for the host. 

Bangladesh did not take time to return to level the scoreline. In the 31st minute Bishwanath Ghosh's long throw caught the ball in Rakib's back head and Ibrahim's head. Seven minutes later, Malaysia lead again thanks to Diane Cools.

Malaysia lead 3-1 when Shafiq Ahmed netted a goal in the 47th minute. Darren Locke hit the last goal for the host in the 73rd minute of the match. As a result, Jamal Bhuiyan-led team left the field conceding 4-1 defeat.
