Salma Khatun to play Women`s IPL

Bangladesh's experienced all-rounder Salma Khatun has got call this time too in the Women's IPL or India's Women's T20 Challenge. In the last edition, two women cricketers from Bangladesh, Jahanara Alam and Salma Khatun played in the competition.

Spinner Salma made her debut in the last women's IPL. The former captain of the Bangladesh national team played well in almost every match and her team Trail Blazers became champion. 

Salma was also in great rhythm in the recent ODI World Cup held in New Zealand. That is why she is the only Bangladeshi in the ICC World XI to take her place as a spinner.

Salma has been called up for the IPL this year due to her performance in the last edition and her good performance in the ODI World Cup. She is scheduled to leave for India on May 15 to play in the IPL. In the meantime, Salma has also got no objection certificate (NOC) from BCB.

Salma said, "It is very good to get a team in IPL again. I will try to do better than before. Now that we have to play in India, the conditions are the same as ours. I hope I can do something good. If all goes well, I will leave the country on May 15 or 16.

Experimentally, women's IPL is played between three teams. There is no auction for cricketers. Cricketers from the Indian Cricket Board. Fast bowler Jahanara Alam was representing Bangladesh from the very beginning of the tournament. She also garnered praise in the first two editions. Although in the last session she could not play well. That's why she was not called this time.

The three-team Women's T20 Challenge will start on May 23 in Pune and the final will be on May 28.
