All the members of Afghanistan's touring party tested negative on Wednesday paving ways for the series to proceed as per schedule.

The series between Bangladesh and Afghanistan, with three ODIs and two T20Is, had been under threat after several members of the camp tested positive.

However, the touring party heaved a sigh of relief as all the members were found negative during the test that was done on Wednesday.

''They are expected to have practice match tomorrow after all their members were found corona negative,'' a BCB official confirmed Cricbuzz on Wednesday.

A 22-member Afghanistan team arrived in Dhaka on February 12 and moved to Sylhet the day after to partake in a preparation camp ahead of the three ODI, two T20I series. Three cricketers later joined the touring contingent after completing their stints in Bangladesh Premier League. Leading Afghan stars Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi, who are currently participating in the Pakistan Super League, will join the squad ahead of the ODI series.

The Afghanistan team is scheduled to fly to Chattogram on February 19 to play the ODI series beginning on February 23. The next two games are scheduled on February 25 and 28 while both the teams will travel to Dhaka for the two T20Is on March 3 and 5.
