The cricketers of the Bangladesh national team have returned to the country after a successful tour of New Zealand. They landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka at around 1:30 pm on Friday.
This is the first time that the Bangladesh national cricket team has won the first match of the two-match Test series against the Kiwis. As a result, the Tigers have drawn the series for the first time despite losing the last 2nd Test. Overall, it was a successful series for Mominul Haque’s team.
Earlier, Mushfiqur Rahim and team director Khaled Mahmud Sujon returned to the country on Wednesday. They arrived in Dhaka at 9:15 pm on a Singapore Airlines flight.
However, neither Mushfiqur nor Sujon spoke to the media at the airport that day. They carefully avoided the media. The rest of the team, including captain Mominul Haque, left New Zealand for the country today (January 14).
Bangladesh defeated New Zealand by 8 wickets in the first Test of the series. This is the first victory of the Tigers against the Kiwis after 32 matches in a row in 3 formats. But in the second match, Tom Latham’s team came to Christchurch and changed all the calculations. Mominul-Liton, who dreamed of winning the series, lost to the hosts within three days. Bangladesh lost the match by innings and 117 runs.
