Pace bowling coach of the Bangladesh national cricket team Ottis Gibson has decided not to renew his contract with Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
BCB cricket operations committee chairman Jalal Younus has confirmed the information on Wednesday.
Gibson's two-year deal with BCB runs out on January 20. He will join Multan Sultans in Pakistan Super League (PSL) as an assistant and fast bowling coach with the tournament set to start on January 27.
After working as head coach of South Africa and the West Indies, Gibson replaced former South African pace bowler Charl Langeveldt as Bangladesh's pace bowling coach in 2020. The former West Indies pacer also had stints with England as a bowling coach.
Gibson played two Tests and 15 ODIs between 1995 and 1999. He featured in 177 first-class matches where he bagged 659 wickets and scored 5,604 runs.
