The Bangladesh national football team has been running without a full-time coach for several months. But this time the situation is coming to an end. After almost three months, Jamal Bhuiyan will get a full-time coach. Spanish pro-licensed coach Javier Cabrera is going to take charge of the Bangladesh national football team.

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) appointed the former coach of the Spanish club Barcelona Academy for the next 11 months. BFF co-president Kazi Nabil confirmed the matter to Daily Bangladesh. Cabrera will be seen in Bangladesh's dugout in the January FIFA window. He will come to Dhaka next week to take charge of the men in reed-green.

Last October, 10-12 days before the SAFF Championship, British coach Jamie Dey was sent on a two-month leave of absence and BFF handed over part-time responsibility to Spanish Oscar Bruzon. The Portuguese Mario Lemos was named in charge of the four-nation football tournament in November after Oscar Bruzon's contract was not extended after the failure of the SAFF Championship.

BFF was trying to appoint a permanent coach instead of walking towards the makeshift coach. The Football Federation has chosen Javier Cabrera to walk that path. You may or may not need to give too many analogies to introduce him. One name is enough to identify him, that is 'Barcelona'.

Stars like Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta have grown up at Barcelona Academy. However, the Cabrera is not the academy located in Catalonia, but the coach of the Virginia branch academy in the United States. Acting as the coach of a branch academy of a club like Barcelona is no longer an issue. The Bangladesh football team is going to get that Cabrera as the coach.

Not only the academy of Barcelona, but the Cabaret has also recently been in charge of the youth elite academy of another Spanish club Deportivo Alaves. He also served as La Liga's technical director for more than two years. At that time, as part of La Liga school football activities, he shared football knowledge among thousands of students from different schools in India.

Earlier, the Cabaret was the assistant coach of the main team of Indian club Sporting Goa from 2013 to 2015. As well as being the technical director, he has given football training to the players of different age groups of the club's academy. Cabrera is distinguished, having extensive experience working for grassroots football as well as various academics, including Barcelona and Alaves.

Cabrera also has a reputation as a football analyst. He has worked for six consecutive years as an expert analyst at the popular website Opta Sports. He has a bachelor's degree in football as well as advertising and marketing.

Cabrera is coming to Dhaka with all these experiences to take charge of Jamal Bhuiyan and Tapu Varman. He will spread football knowledge among the players of Bangladesh.
