Only 101 runs were required to avoid follow-on at Mirpur’s home of cricket. But Muminul Haque’s team could not avoid the follow-on and lost all wickets at only 87 runs in 1st innings!

On the fifth day of the rain-soaked Dhaka Test, the Tigers are drowning in the shame of being bowled out for less than 100 runs at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

Batting at the second innings, Bangladesh showed the same reckless batting as the 4th day and they already managed to lose 4 wickets at only 25 runs.

Till the writing, Bangladesh scored 25 runs after losing four early wickets.

Today, Bangladesh managed to add only 11 runs after scoring 76 runs for 7 wickets agasint Pakistan on Tuesday. All in all, Team Bangladesh has been all out for ‘lowest’ 87 runs on home soil.

Then, the hosts started the second innings 213 runs behind Pakistan’s 300 runs in first innings.

In the second innings, Bangladesh’s opening pair – Shadman Islam and Mahmudul Hasan Joy – showed their usual performance. Both the opening pair went to the dugout at 12 runs, where Shadman scored only 2 runs and Joy added 6 runs. Later, the middle-order batters failed to score any double digits.

Currently, Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das are unbeaten on the crease.
