Ganguly revealed possible venue for Asia Cup

The 15th edition of the Asia Cup will be held in September this year. The venue has not been confirmed yet, though it is not so late to begin the tournament. Although it is scheduled to be held in Pakistan, now there is a big chance of changing venue thereafter opposition from India. In such a circumstance, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President, Sourav Ganguly said the possible venue for the Asia Cup.

The Asian Cricket Council meeting will be held in Dubai on March 3. BCCI President Ganguly confronted the media at Eden Garden before leaving to attend. He said both India and Pakistan will play in the upcoming Asia Cup. The BCCI president also said the upcoming Asia Cup will be held in Dubai, UAE.

However, no official announcement has been made on the matter yet. Earlier, it was also be heard that it might be held in Bangladesh. At the end of the Dubai meeting on March 3, it will be confirmed which country will be the host of the upcoming Asia Cup. 

In 2008, Pakistan was the host of the Asia Cup for the last time. The following year, Sri Lanka was subjected to terrorist attacks while playing there. No international cricket has been held in the country for a long time since then. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has successfully organized several bilateral series over the past few years.
