AL doesn’t want to see bloodshed in the country: PM

Seeking votes for Bangladesh Awami League in the next general election for the continuation of development, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, “We don’t want to see any bloodshed in Bangladesh. Bangladesh will be a developed and prosperous country…it’ll will march forward.”
The Prime Minister said this while addressing at a public rally at Jessore Eidgah Maidan on Sunday. The program was also attended by district AL president Shahidul Islam Milon, the rally was addressed, among others, by AL Presidium Member Pijush Kanti Bhatacharya, Dr Dipu Moni, Hanif and Kazi Nabil Ahmed, MP.
Sheikh Hasina, also the Awami League president, said the way the voters gave their mandates in favour of AL-nominated candidates in the last general election the same way they will choose them in the next national election.
Terming BNP-Jamaat clique as the synonyms of killing, torture, militancy and terrorism, the Prime Minister said whenever AL comes to power people enjoy peace and security. “We want peace and development in the country and that is our prime task,” she added.
Earlier, the prime minister joined the President Parade-2017 marking the commissioning of new Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) officers at the BAF Base Matiur Rahman. Later, she inaugurated 18 recently concluded projects and laid foundation stones of another 12 schemes in Jessor.
