Awami League General Secretary, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that Awami League does not do politics for itself, it does politics for the betterment of the people. The next national election is not far away. We have to prepare for the election from now.
He said this at the triennial conference of various units and wards of the Airport Police Station under Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League on Friday. The bridges minister joined the conference through video conference from his official residence.
Addressing the party leaders and workers, Obaidul Quader said that a bridge should be built between leaders-workers and people-workers. Treat people well. Then no one can stop the victory of the Awami League.
Addressing the BNP leaders, Obaidul Quader said that it is not appropriate to talk about electricity in the mouth of those who gave poles instead of electricity.
In response to the statement of the BNP Secretary General, Awami League General Secretary said, listening to the speech of Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, it seems like ‘monkey sings music, rock floats in water’.
Obaidul Quader said BNP is the only record of minority torture in this country. There is no precedent for the attacks and torture they carried out during the rule of the BNP. Daily lying has become a habit of BNP. What development have you done for the country, from which you will ask the people for votes? People want development and work; Sheikh Hasina is doing development and work. So, people are happy about Sheikh Hasina, and BNP is sad.
Uttara West Thana Awami League President Advocate Monowar Islam Chowdhury Robin presided over the conference.
Awami League Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nashim, Organizing Secretary Mirza Azam, Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League President Sheikh Bazlur Rahman, General Secretary SM Mannan Kochi, Member of Parliament Md. Habib Hasan and others were present.
