The Awami League has paid homage to AK Fazlul Huq at his tomb on the occasion of his 60th death anniversary.
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader paid homage at the tomb of Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Huq on Wednesday.
Awami League Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Organizing Secretary SM Kamal Hossain, Afzal Hossain, Science and Technology Affairs Secretary Abdus Sabur, Labor and Manpower Affairs Secretary Habibur Rahman Siraj and Cultural Affairs Secretary Asim Kumar Ukil, Central Executive Committee member Syed Abdul Al Shamim, Deputy Secretary Sayem Khan and many others were present on the occasion.
After paying his respects, Obaidul Quader told reporters that “the poison of communalism is still spreading in Bangladesh”. The struggle must continue under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina to save the nation from that poison. Those who do not want the good of the people of this country, those who only do politics for the sake of power want to spread the poison.
The Awami League General Secretary said everyone should move forward in the belief of building a non-communal Bangladesh under the leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina. There are still some people in the country who want to create chaos by spreading non-communal poison. All the leaders and workers of the Awami League must unite and resist them.
He said Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Huq was a non-communal humanitarian leader. Today the Awami League is remembering him.
