Turag warehouse blast: All 8 injured now dead

Another person, who sustained an injury in a fire following an explosion at a warehouse in Dhaka’s Turag area on August 6, died on Friday midnight. With this, all the eight persons who sustained burn injuries in the incident, passed away.
The last person who died was identified as rickshaw puller Md Shaheen, 26. He breathed his last around 10:00 pm while under treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in the capital’s Dhaka.
The other seven of the injured who died in this incident at the burn institute are – rickshaw garage owner Gazi Mazharul Islam, Shafiqul Islam, Md. Alam Mia, Md. Noor Hose, Md. Mizanur Rahman Mizan, Masum Ali and Al-Amin.
Earlier, on Saturday (August 6) at around 11:30 am, a fire broke out following an explosion at Gazi Mazaharul Islam’s warehouse and autorickshaw garage in South Rajabari, Turag. Later, with the help of firemen, the fire was brought under control at around 12 am after trying for more than half an hour. In this, 8 people including the owner of the garage and repair shop, and an auto-rickshaw driver were burnt, locals said.
