Masks, vaccination certificates mandatory for Mourning Day events

During the National Mourning Day on August 15, instructions have been given to follow hygiene rules to control the spread of Covid-19. Attendees must carry the mandatory COVID vaccination certificate for the Mourning Day event.

This directive was announced in a government statement on Thursday. Some more instructions are given in the information sheet. They are –

  • Masks that are capable of providing safety to the participants must be worn properly covering the nose and mouth at the event.

  • The entrance and exit of the venue should be separate and one-way.
  • Hand washing with soapy water or hand sanitizer should be provided at the venue.
  • Half of the capacity or less will be allowed to participate in discussions and milad mahfils.
  • Other hygiene rules must be strictly followed.
  • No one should enter the venue with cold, cough, fever or respiratory problems.
  • Cover nose and mouth with a tissue, handkerchief or elbow while sneezing or coughing. Adequate lidded bins should be provided for disposal of used tissues and waste and arrangements should be made for emergency disposal.
  • All the instructions of the local administration, health department and law enforcement should be followed properly.
