BRTA publishes new fare list for bus-minibus in Dhaka

The fares for buses and minibusses have been rescheduled due to the increase in fuel prices. This time, the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) has published a fare chart for the commuters of the Dhaka Metropolitan area.

BRTA has released the new fare list on its website. The fare has been increased to Tk 2.50 per kilometer.

Noted that the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources increased the prices of kerosene, diesel, petrol and octane on the night of August 5 due to the increase in fuel prices in the global market. 

In the new price, the retail price of diesel at the consumer level within 40 km of the depot has been fixed at Tk 114, kerosene Tk 114, octane Tk 135 and petrol Tk 130. Earlier, the retail price of diesel at the consumer level was Tk 80 per liter, kerosene Tk 80 per liter, octane Tk 89 octane and petrol was Tk 86 octane per liter.
