The impact of the global crisis on electricity and fuel oil has also affected Bangladesh. In the meantime, power outages and fuel prices have also increased in the local market. Which also forced to increase public transport fares. State Minister for Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid has given good news about load shedding amid these ongoing crises.
Load shedding will be reduced to half from September, the state minister said while talking to reporters on Sunday afternoon. It is expected that the power supply will be normal from October.
Requesting everyone to be patient, he said, no one wants to make people suffer. In a meeting between the power department and traders, an agreement was reached regarding the closure of area-based factories to save electricity and gas. From next month, load shedding will be reduced than before.
It is to be noted that in the face of the ongoing global oil crisis, the government has started an area-based load-shedding system by shutting down diesel-run power plants from July 19 to save electricity in the country.
