Offices open Tuesday after Eid holiday

Today (Monday, July 11) is the last day of the three-day Eid holiday. Offices-courts, bank-insurance and stock market are opening from tomorrow, Tuesday (July 12)
The holy Eid-ul-Azha is celebrated in the country on Sunday. On the occasion of Eid, Saturday, Sunday and Monday (July 9, 10 and 11) are public holidays. Before Eid, Friday was a weekly holiday. Thursday was the last working day.
As per that the employees will join the office on Tuesday after a four-day holiday. Again, many have taken “optional leave” on July 12 and 13. As a result, the full office, and court activities will start from Sunday (July 16).
This time, 66 lakh people have left Dhaka on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, informed Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar on social media, saying that “till Saturday night, 65,078 SIM users have left Dhaka”.
Meanwhile, banks were open in different areas on Friday and Saturday before Eid. During those two days, transactions took place from 10 am to 8 pm at the bank’s branches adjacent to cattle markets in Dhaka North (DNCC) and South (DSCC) City Corporation. The Central Bank had given this instruction for the convenience of the traders of the market.
Besides, banks were open in the industry-related areas on Friday and Saturday to facilitate the payment of salaries, bonuses and other allowances to the workers, employees and officials working in the readymade garment industry.
