57000 Hajj pilgrims reach Saudi, One more dies

Another Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrim died in Saudi Arabia's Makkah on Sunday. With this, a total of 12 Bangladeshis have died while performing Hajj in Saudi Arabia so far. Of them, eight are men and four are women. 

The deceased was identified as Md Khaibar Hossain, 55, hailing from Rangpur. His passport number is - EF0156162.

The daily bulletin of Hajj of the IT help desk of the Ministry of Religious Affairs revealed the information.

Meanwhile, a total of 56,952 pilgrims reached Saudi Arabia from Bangladesh so far to perform Holly Hajj this year. A total of 157 flights carried the pilgrims to their destination, including 86 flights from Biman Bangladesh Airlines, 60 flights from Saudi Airlines, and 11 flights from Flynas Airlines. 

Of these pilgrims, 3890 are under government management and 53,062 are under private management. 

The holy Hajj is set to be held in Saudi Arabia on July 8 (Zilhaj 9). The flight of Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia started on June 5.
