COVID-19 vaccination to children aged 5-12 from end of July: Minister

Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque on Wednesday said children aged between 5 and 12 would be administered COVID-19 vaccines from the end of July.
The Minister was speaking at the signing ceremony of the Annual Performance Agreement (APA) for the fiscal year 2022-23 with the offices/agencies under the Health Services Division at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
Zahid Malek said, "The coronavirus infection is going up in the country now. We are a little worried, but not apprehensive. We are ready."
Regarding the APA agreement, the health minister said that now vaccination and control the coronavirus situation are more important tasks. Manpower recruitment is also an important task. We have to make a plan first for this, then have to go on the field.
Secretary of the Health Services Division Dr Md Anwar Hossain Hawladar presided over the ceremony.
