The government has made wearing face masks mandatory whenever going to shops, shopping malls, markets, hotels, and restaurants. The defiers of the order will have to face punishment according to the law.

The Cabinet Division on Tuesday issued a six-point directive in an order to curb the increase of coronavirus infection.  

The directives are-

 1. All media requested to encourage public to follow health guidelines.

2. Wearing masks mandatory at all publics spaces, implement "No mask, No service" policy, maintain social distancing, and avoid public gatherings as much as possible.

3. Wearing masks must at all religious institutions and maintaining social distancing (mosques, temples, churches, etc.).  

4. Encouraging people to go for Covid-19 testing if they have symptoms like cold, fever, cough.

5. Shops, shopping malls, markets, buyers and sellers, hotels and restaurants all have to wear masks compulsorily. Otherwise, he/she will have to face punishment according to the law.  

6. Imams will make the people concerned about the observance of health guidelines and wearing of masks while offering prayers in mosques.  

The directive, signed by Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet Mohammad Khorshed Alam Khan, state that Covid-19 infection is increasing rapidly across the country in recent times and there is considerable laxity among the public in wearing masks and following hygiene rules. It was requested to implement the recommendations adopted at the June 14 meeting of the Covid-19 National Technical Advisory Committee and to implement the guidelines for the prevention of Covid-19 infection.

Deputy Secretary Mohammad Khorshed Alam Khan told that secretaries-senior secretaries of all ministries / departments and concerned have been requested to implement these instructions expeditiously.
