Immunization for 5 to 12-year-olds to start soon: Health Minister

Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque said that vaccination for 5-12-year-olds will be started soon to prevent coronavirus.
The Minister was speaking as the chief guest at the certificate distribution and inaugural ceremony of a course titled the 'Certificate Course on Neurodevelopment Disorders' conducted by the Institute of Pediatric Neurodisorder and Autism (IPNA) at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Tuesday.
BSMMU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Sharfuddin Ahmed presided over the ceremony.
Prof. Dr. Shaheen Akhtar, the Dean of the Children's Faculty of BSMMU and the Founding Director of IPNA, delivered the welcome address at the beginning of the program.
Pro-vice-chancellor(Research and Development) of the University Prof. Dr. Md. Zahid Hossain addressed the function.

According to the organizers, the main objective of the event is to create skilled manpower over the neurodegenerative problems and raise public awareness across the country.
