Banasree shoe factory fire under control

The fire that broke out at a shoe factory in Dakshin Banasree in the capital, has been brought under control. 

The fire broke out at 10:45 am on Monday at Roxy Sandal Factory at 12/5 Road, Block G, Dakshin Banasree. On information, four units of the fire service rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control at 11:35 am.

Shahjahan Sikder, officer-in-charge of the Fire Service and Civil Defense Department, confirmed the fire was under control. 

He said on information, a unit of the fire service went to the spot at 10:45 am. Later, three more units were joined.

Deputy Assistant Director Md Hafizur Rahman said the fire was not completely under control. A team of fire service personnel is working to determine the cause of the fire and the damage.
