Rain likely to continue

As an outlook for next 72 hours, Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Monday predicted: "Rainfall activity is likely to continue".
The Met Office also forecasted light to moderate rain or thunder showers at most places over the country in the next 24 hours as of 9:00 am tomorrow.
"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions," said a Met Office release issued this morning.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
Country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 35.4 degrees Celsius at Mongla in the Khulna division and today's minimum temperature 22.0 degrees Celsius was recorded at Sitakunda in the Chattogram division.
The highest rainfall during the last 24 hours till 6:00 am today was recorded 242 mm at Chattogram.
The sun sets at 6:49 pm today and rises at 5:11 am tomorrow in the capital.
