Light to moderate rainfall likely, day temp to rise by (1-2)°C

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur over the country in the next 24 hours ending tomorrow at 9 am while the day temperature may rise by (1-2)°C.
This was forecasted by the country’s Met Office, Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), in a weather bulletin issued today, Friday (June 10)
According to the weather forecast by BMD, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Sylhet and Chattogram divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at isolated places over the country.
Besides, the day temperature may rise by (1-2)°C and the night temperature may rise slightly over the country during the period, the weather bulletin also forecasted.
“Rainfall activity likely to decrease within 72 hours or three days,” the country’s Met Office forecasted in the weather outlook for the next 72 hours.
Meanwhile, Meteorologist Md. Shaheenul Islam, BMD deputy director, said in the weather bulletin that a trough of low that has been extended from Bihar to Gangetic West Bengal is persisted. As a result, the monsoon is “fairly active” over Bangladesh and weak to moderate over North Bay.
The country’s maximum temperature was recorded at 35.3°C yesterday at Satkhira in the Khulna division while today’s minimum temperature was recorded at 21.5°C at Faridpur in the Dhaka division.
The country’s maximum rainfall, on the other hand, was recorded at 127mm at Chandpur in the Chattogram division.
Today’s sunset will be at 6:46 pm and tomorrow’s sunrise will be at 5:10 am.
