Present govt believes in free flow of information: Palak

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak has said that the present government led by People's Leader Sheikh Hasina believes in free flow of information. As a result, democracy is consolidated and the development of the country is accelerated.
The state minister said this while exchanging views with journalists of Natore Press Club at District Circuit House at 10 am on Sunday.
Palak said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's lead present government is media-friendly. The government is working for the development of media and welfare of those working in media. The current government has come to power and licensed a number of electronic media. Has formed a welfare trust for the welfare of journalists. They have been brought under incentives during the tax period.
The state minister announced a grant of Tk5 lakh for the construction of a new office of the Natore Press Club. He assured all kinds of cooperation in the implementation including taking steps for the construction of the press club complex.
Natore Press Club President Faraji Ahmed Rafiq Baban Presided over the meeting where Deputy Commissioner Shamim Ahmed was present as a special guest. Former President of Natore Press Club Ronen Roy and Jalal Uddin, Senior Journalist Daily Observer Representative SM Sedrul Huda David, Vice President of Natore Press Club Dulal Sarkar and Nazmun Hasan of Jamuna Television also spoke at the meeting.
