Rain likely to continue

As an outlook for next 72 hours, Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted: "Rain or thunder showers activity is likely to continue."

The Met Office also forecasted rain or thunder showers at most places over the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today. 

"Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions; at many places over Dhaka and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country," said aMet Office release issued this morning.

Besides, day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the
country, it added. 

Country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 36.0 degrees Celsius at Ishurdi in Rajshahi division and minimum temperature today was 22.5 degrees Celsius at Khulna.

The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6:00 am today was recorded 89 mm at Chandpur in Chattogram division.

The sun sets at 6:41 pm today and rises at 5:11 am tomorrow in the capital.
