44th BCS preliminary examination ends

The 44th BCS preliminary examination which is being held simultaneously in eight divisional cities of the country has ended. The exam started at 10 am and ended at 12 pm today, Friday (May 27).

The number of candidates applying for the 44th BCS is 350,716. 

The online application for the 44th BCS started on December 30 last year. The last date to apply in the first phase was January 31. Later, the PSC extended the deadline to March 2. The 44th BCS will be General.

According to the notification of the 44th BCS, 1,710 officers will be recruited in different cadres through this BCS. Among these, 250 are in administration cadre, 50 in police cadre, 10 in the foreign cadre, 14 in Ansar cadre, 30 in audit and account, 11 in tax, 8 in co-operative, 7 in railway transport and commerce, 10 in information, 23 in postal, 6 in trade, 27 in family planning, 3 in food, 485 in the technical cadre and 776 in higher education cadre.

Meanwhile, The PSC has banned entry to the examination center with watches, ornaments and any kind of electrical device.

PSC said that as per the notification of the 44th BCS Exam-2021, in the preliminary examination to be held on May 27, carrying books, all kinds of watches, mobile phones, calculators, all kinds of electronic devices, bank/credit card-like devices, jewelry are prohibited and punishable offenses.
