HuJI founder and death row convict Mufti Abdul Hai arrested

Mufti Abdul Hai, founder of the banned militant group HuJI and a death row convict in the bomb blasts during Pahela Baishakh celebrations at Ramna Batamul and Kotalipara bombing in Gopalganj, has been arrested.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested him from Fatullah in Narayanganj, confirmed Commander Khandaker Al Moin, director of the Legal and Media Wing of RAB on Wednesday night (May 25, 2022)
He said that Mufti Abdul Hai was the founder of the banned militant group Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HuJI). He was also sentenced to life term imprisonment in several other cases.
Further details will be disclosed at a press conference in this regard at RAB Media Centre at Karwan Bazar today (May 26, 2022).
