Samrat needs better treatment: BSMMU

Expelled president of Dhaka City (South) Jubo League Ismail Hossain Samrat needs better treatment.
Brigadier General Md Nazrul Islam Khan, director of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital, came up with the information on Monday.
He said that a board meeting has been held regarding the treatment of Juba League leader Samrat. It was decided that he needed better treatment. His treatment may be in the country or abroad.
Regarding the discharge from the hospital, Nazrul Islam said that Samrat is still undergoing treatment and is not completely well. Doctors have also observed him this morning. Some medications have been changed. He will be discharged after 3-4 more days of observation.
"But according to cardiologists, Samrat needs advanced stage treatment. Honestly, the treatment of that stage has not been available in our country yet. According to the recommendations of the board, it is better to carry out this treatment abroad," he said.
Earlier on May 12 at a press conference, BSMMU director Brigadier General Nazrul Islam said that the Samrat need better treatment.
On Wednesday, May 11, the court granted bail to president of Dhaka City (South) Jubo League Ismail Hossain Samrat on three conditions on a bond of Tk 10,000 till June 9 in a case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
The conditions are that Samrat cannot leave the country without the permission of the court, the passport must be submitted and the health examination report must be submitted on the next due date.
A total of four cases - arms, drugs, money laundering and graft -were filed against Samrat. He is now out on bail in all the current cases.
