Rain likely at 6 divisions including Dhaka

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Monday predicted that many places over six divisions including Dhaka are likely to experience rain or thundershowers with intense lightning flashes in the next 24 hours as of 9:00 am tomorrow.
"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers with intense lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Chattogram division and at one or two places over Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over northern part of the country," said a met office release issued this morning.
Besides, weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, it added.
However, day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the release said.
Country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 35.5 degrees Celsius at Madaripur, Rajshahi, Ishurdi and Khulna while minimum temperature today was 22.5 degrees Celsius at Rangpur and Sayedpur.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6:00 am today was recorded at 92 mm at Tetulia in Rangpur division.
The sun sets at 6:34 pm today and rises at 5:15 am tomorrow in the capital.
