Instructions to broadcast BTV at airports

The government has directed to broadcast BTV, BTV World, Sangsad BTV and BTV Chattogram in all international and domestic airports of the country. 

The Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism recently sent a letter to the chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) to take necessary steps in this regard. 

Earlier, on April 4, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting sent a letter to the Aviation Secretary to confirm the broadcasting of all BTV channels in the country's airports.

According to the letter, as per the Television Network Management Act, the necessary steps should be taken to ensure the broadcasting of government television channels at international and domestic airports. 

Air Vice-Marshal M Mafidur Rahman, chairman of CAAB, told the media that as he was out of the country, he didn't receive this notification yet. This is a good initiative, he said, adding that necessary measures will be taken after getting the notification.
