Day temperature may rise by 1-2°C

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Saturday predicted the day temperature may rise by 1-2 degrees Celsius and night temperature may rise slightly over the country. 

The Met Office also forecasted rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind at many places of the country in the next 24 hours as of 9:00 am tomorrow.

"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions; at a few places over Chattogram division and at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal, Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions," said a met office release issued this morning. 

As an outlook for next 72 hours, the BMD predicted : "Rainfall activity is likely to continue."

Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 35.0 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi and minimum temperature today was 22.3 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi.

The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6:00 am today was recorded 200 mm at Dinajpur.

The sun sets at 6:33 pm today and rises at 5:16 am tomorrow in the capital.
