1,29,21,075 countrymen received booster doses

So far, 1,29,21,075 people have received the third (booster) dose of Covid-19 vaccine in the country. Besides, 12,85,86,487 people received the first jab and 11,65,06,659 people reveived the second jab.
This information was given in a notification signed by Professor Dr. Mizanur Rahman, director of the Management Information Branch (MIS) and line director of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Sunday.
In the last 24 hours (May 7), 6,993 people have been vaccinated with the first dose and 39,828 people have been vaccinated with the second dose. Besides, booster dose has been given to 53,908 people at this time — these are being given by Oxford-AstraZeneca, Sinopharm, Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.
Vaccination of 12-17-year-old students started in Bangladesh on November 1. Among these, 1,73,20,892 students were given the first dose and 1,58,98,265 students were given the second dose.
The DGHS says 21,07,076 floating people, so far, have come under the vaccination in the country. They have been vaccinated with a single dose of Johnson & Johnson.
Noted that the registration of the Covid-19 vaccine in the country started on January 27. Vaccination activities started on February 7. Anyone over the age of 18 can now get vaccinated.
