6 divisions including Dhaka likely to see rain

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Saturday predicted rain or thunder showers at some places over six divisions in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
"Rain or thunder showers accompanied by intense lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka and Chattogram divisions," said a Met Office release issued this morning.
Besides, weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, it added.
Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, the release said.
As an outlook for next 72 hours, the BMD predicted: Rainfall activity may increase over coastal area.
The country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded at 36.5 degrees Celsius at Khulna while minimum temperature today was recorded at 22.4 degrees Celsius at Bogura in Rajshahi division.
The sun sets at 6:30 pm today and rises at 5:20 am tomorrow in the capital.
