Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal said, "We want more participatory parliamentary elections. Therefore, we will sit with academics for their opinions."

He said this in a meeting with educationists in the conference room of Election Building on Sunday. Thirteen academics took part in it.

CEC Kazi Habibul Awal said, "The purpose of our dialogue has already been stated. This commission is a newly formed commission. The task of the commission is to complete the national parliamentary and local government elections."

He said that different people have said different things about the election. The previous election was not fully participatory for various reasons. That is why we want the next election (12th Parliamentary Election) to be more participatory.

CEC Kazi Habibul Awal further said that the views of real people will come up through dialogue. That is why we can gain a lot from what you (educators) can do on our behalf, we will be flourished.

The EC may sit with dignitaries on March 22 and March 30 with the media personnel. The date of the meeting with other parties has not been finalized yet.

On February 26, the President appointed the election commission headed by Kazi Habibul Awal. The next day, they took the oath and take office on February 28.

The next parliamentary elections will be held under the Kazi Habibul Awal lead Election Commission.
