Cold wave continues in parts of country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Saturday predicted that mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over many regions and it may continue in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today. 

"Mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and the districts of Gopalgonj, Tangail, Kishoregonj, Feni, Jashore, Kushtia, Chuadanga and Barishal and it may continue," said a Met Office release issued this morning.

Weather may remain dry over the country, said it, adding that moderate to thick fog may occur in north-western part and light to moderate fog may occur at some places elsewhere over the country during midnight to morning.
Meanwhile, night and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

Country's maximum temperature on Friday was recorded 25.5 degrees Celsius at Cox's Bazar and the minimum temperature today was 7 degrees Celsius at Rajarhat and Sayedpur districts. 

The sun sets at 5:42 pm today and rises at 6:41 am tomorrow in the capital.
