Night temperature likely to fall by 2-3°C

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Thursday predicted night temperature may fall by 2-3 degrees Celcius and mild cold wave may sweep over northwestern part of the country. 

Besides, day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. 

The Met Office also forecasted dry weather and having chances of light rain at a few places over three divisions in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.

"Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, having chances of light rain or drizzle at one or two places over Barishal, Chattrogram and Sylhet divisions," said a Met Office release issued this morning.

Besides, light to moderate fog may occur over the country during midnight to morning. 

The country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 28.0 degrees Celsius at Teknaf in the Chattogram division and minimum temperature today was 9.6 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in the Rangpur division. 

Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00 am today was recorded 17 millimetres (mm) at Srimangal in the Sylhet division. 

Today's sunset at 5:41 pm and tomorrow's sunrise at 6:42 am at Dhaka.
