Dry weather likely, night temperature may fall

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Wednesday predicted dry weather with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country and having chances of rain at few places over three divisions in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
"Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, having chances of light rain or drizzle at one or two places over Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions," said a Met Office release issued this morning.
Besides, moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the North-Western part and river basins and light to moderate fog may occur elsewhere over the country during midnight to morning and it may continue till noon at places, the release said.
Meanwhile, night temperature may fall slightly over northwestern part and it may fall by 1-2 degrees Celcius elsewhere over the country, the BMD said, adding that day temperature may rise slightly over the country.
As an outlook for the next 72 hours, the BMD predicted: "Night temperature may fall further."
Country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 28.6 degrees Celsius at Sandwip in the Chattogram division and minimum temperature today was 9.8 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in the Rangpur division.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00 am today was recorded 5 millimetres (mm) at Cox’s Bazar in the Chattgram division.
