Fire at BSMMU: 5-member probe committee formed

The authorities of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) have formed a five-member committee to investigate the fire at the hospital.
BSMMU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sharfuddin Ahmed formed the committee. Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Dr. Sayef Uddin Ahmed has made the head of the committee while an Assistant Proctor of the University will act as the Member Secretary.
The fire broke out on the 14th floor of a 17-storey building in the D block of the hospital at 6:21 pm on Monday. On information, five units of the fire service rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control at 6:40 am. No casualties were reported.
