CGDF recruitment exam question papers leak: 10 arrested

At least 10 persons have been arrested for their alleged involvement in leaking question papers of Controller General Defence Finance (CGDF)'s Auditor recruitment examination. 

The arrestees included a suspended government official and a female Upazila vice-chairman. 

Detective police arrested them from Mirpur, Tejgaon and Kakrail areas in the capital on Friday night. Six digital devices, three sets of leaked question papers, six bank cheques and some smartphones were also recovered from their possession. 

The arrestees are- Mahbuba Nasrin Rupa, Mahmudul Hasan Azad, Noman Siddique, Al Amin Rony, Nahid Hasan, Shahid Ullah, Tanjir Ahmed, Razu Ahmed, Hasibul Hasan and Rakibul Hasan.

Of them, Rupa is the vice-chairman of Dupchachia Upazila in Bogura while Azad is a suspended officer of Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh. The remaining other arrestees include examinees of the test, students who have expertise in solving questions. 

Additional Commissioner (detectives) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) AKM Hafiz Akhter disclosed the information at a press briefing at the DMP media centre on Saturday.

Apart from collecting clients, Mahbuba also took part in yesterday's examination of Office of Controller General Defence Finance, Hafiz said.

This gang leaked questions soon after the test began at 3:00 pm on Friday. They were providing answers to their clients through digital devices, the DB official said.
