Drizzle likely in parts of southern region

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Thursday predicted light rain or drizzle in parts of southern region of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
"Light rain or drizzle is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions," said a met office release here today.
Weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, it said, adding that light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country during late night to morning.
Meanwhile, night temperature may fall by 1-2 degrees Celcius over northern part and it may remain nearly unchanged elsewhere over the country. Day temperature may rise by 1-2degrees Celcius over the country, the release said.
Trough of westerly low lies over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining area. Seasonal low lies over South Bay, extending its trough to North Bay.
Country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded by 30.4 degrees Celsius at Teknaf and minimum temperature today was recorded by 13.5 degrees Celsius at Sayedpur. Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6:00 am today was recorded by 18millimeters(mm) at Dinajpur.
