Rain likely at many places; Temp may fall

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Wednesday predicted Rain or thunder showers at many places over the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today.
"Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions," said a Met Office release issued this morning.
Besides, light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country during late night to morning.
Meanwhile, night temperature may fall by 1-2 degrees Celcius and day temperature may fall by 2-3 degrees Celcius over the country.
As an outlook for next 72 hours, the BMD predicted: "Rainfall activity may decrease and night temperature may fall."
The country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 30.0 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda in the Chattogram division and minimum temperature today was 14.0 degrees Celsius at Hatiya in the Chattogram division.
Today's sunset at 5:30 pm and tomorrow's sunrise at 6:44 am at Dhaka.
