Sudden drizzle lashes Dhaka amid winter

Light rain or drizzle has occured in the capital Dhaka at around 9:45 pm on Tuesday. As result, the homegoing commuters are suffering from the sudden rain, at the same time, the pedestrians were also suffering. 

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) had previously reported the possibility of light rain or drizzle in various parts of the country including the capital. 

According to the Met Office, light rain or drizzle is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Dhaka, Sylhet and Mymensingh divisions and the regions of Cumilla and Noakhali. 

Meanwhile, the weather may remain mainly dry with cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, a Met Office release said, adding that light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country from midnight to morning.

As an outlook for the next 72 hours, the BMD predicted: “Night temperature may fall at the end period.” 

The country’s maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 30.1 degrees Celsius at Cox’s Bazar in the Chattogram division and the minimum temperature today was 11.9 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in the Rangpur division.
