2 more dengue patients hospitalized in 24hrs

Another two patients were hospitalized with dengue fever in the country in the last 24 hours. During this, no death from dengue was reported.
The information was obtained in a regular daily dengue-related bulletin of the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Saturday.
The report states that the two hospitalized dengue patients are hailed from Dhaka and are being treated at two different hospitals in the capital. At the time, there are no dengue patients reported outside Dhaka.
With the new figure, the present hospitalized dengue patients admitted to the different public and private hospitals stand at 48. Of these, 28 are admitted to Dhaka’s 46 public and private hospitals and 20 were admitted to other hospitals outside Dhaka.
The report also states that a total of 64 people were admitted to the hospitals from January 1 current year to January 8. Among these, 16 people have left hospitals after recovery. No dengue deaths were reported this year so far.
Earlier in 2019, the dengue outbreak took a serious turn. That year, more than a lakh people were hospitalized with dengue and 148 people died. In the COVID pandemic, dengue did not have much effect in 2020. However, in the middle of 2021, dengue created a somewhat worrying situation.
